It appears that Gmail now has a new feature previously only available to Google Voice users by hitting the number "4" button when receiving inbound calls.
Gmail introduces voice recording button
We've received multiple reports from readers that a voice recording option is now available via Gmail which is also equipped with Google Voice. The new record button now appears in Gmail's call window and lets you record calls received within Gmail.
After hitting the record button, both you and the other person on the line are alerted via a voice cue that the call is being recorded.
Google hasn't officially announced the feature yet so we are guessing it is still being rolled out progressively. The feature comes in handy when you are going to have a lengthy detailed conversation with your boss or client and don't want to miss anything, or if you are handling any legal matters like a divorce i.e. the Mel Gibson debacle.
