Earlier this month, Google began to fire out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Samsung Nexus S in multiple continents. Well it now looks like they have suspended the update due to two major issues.

According to the folks over at Phandroid, Google has suspended the Samsung Nexus S Android 4.0 update due to poor battery life and spikes in CPU usage. So if you were disappointed to not receive the Android 4.0 update after the announcement, consider yourself lucky.
This issue however should not come as a surprise given that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is also having battery issues at the moment with a fix underway. Nevertheless in case you already received the update then take a lot at your battery usage screen for any abnormalities. If you notice them then hang in there as Google should be rolling out a fix very soon.
