Amazon is at it again. After introducing the Amazon App Store and its Amazon Cloud service, the retail giant looks set to release a dual-core Android smartphone with a massive 4.3-inch display, 5-megapixel camera and even a solar panel at the back. The Android smartphone is called the Blaze and AndroidPolice has managed to snag some exclusive shots of the good looking Android.

Amazon Blaze Android: specs

The Amazon Blaze Android packs a 4.3-inch Mirasol display, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8660 processor, 512MB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 8GB microSD card, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 5MP rear camera, MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) port for both microUSB and microHDMI, DLNA connectivity, Possible NFC chip, Bluetooth 2.1/3.0, GSM/HSPA+ on AT&T and possibly Verizon too, 9.25mm thick, 120g weight, 1700mAh Lithium Ion battery and a solar panel on the battery cover.

In addition to the D-pad and two sets of previous/next page buttons (for Kindle no doubt), the Amazon Blaze will have a Blaze UI to make it stand out from the crowd of other Android smartphones. The price tag is expected to be "highly competitive" and unfortunately, no release date has been suggested yet.

With specs like this, the Amazon Blaze looks set to take on the likes of the HTC Pyramid, HTC Droid Incredible 2, Motorola Droid X2 and the HTC Inspire 4G.
