While we may not have had the chance of playing or even knowing every game that has been released on the market, game developers keep a close eye on every title that makes it way into the industry. And as such, if you wanted to know what were the best games ever, a good place to start would be by asking 1,000 game developers. Yes you read that right, a 1,000 game developers had been polled to make this top twenty favorite games of all time list by the World Gaming Executives network.
20 of the best games ever (all time)
So what comes in as the best game of all time? Unsurprisingly it’s Baldur’s Gate. The Baldur’s Gate series is comprised of some of the best (if not the best) RPGs ever made, so there’s no reason to think game developers wouldn’t vote for it as the best game ever. Now let’s look at the list to see what else made the cut (from highest voted to least):
Baldur’s Gate, Diablo, Curse of Monkey Island, Shadow of the Colossus, Mass Effect, Batman: Arkham Asylum, StarCraft, The Legend of Zelda, EverQuest, Devil May Cry, Tomb Raider, BioShock, Metal Gear Solid, World of Warcraft, Deus Ex, Super Mario, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Silent Hill, Assassin’s Creed, and lastly Dead Space.
We’re guessing that many of these titles may have been in your favorites list sometime over the past few years. However were there any games that you felt should have made the list but didn’t? Do tell us on Twitter!
