The iPhone 4S was unveiled yesterday and since then we've seen just about everything it has to offer. From its improved hardware (faster processor, better camera) to iOS 5 and Siri Voice Assistant, you would think there's nothing more left up Apple's sleeve. Well you're wrong.
iPhone 4S Cards app
In addition to some big name features which we had heard before the launch thanks to the many circulating rumors, this particular card app was hidden right until the official unveiling. TechCrunch reports:
"In the vein of this digital meets real world analogy, Apple announced its Card app today, which lets users create honest to goodness physical cards, choosing from 21 designs to fit the six discrete six occasions of card giving."
So how good are these iCards compared to say Hallmark? They certainly have similar attention to detail. As TC explains, "the stamp and stamp cancellation is in-house Apple art and the cards themselves are 4X6 cotton, with the custom ink letterpressed in."
Given that they are printed on paper and the manner by which they are delivered, there is no reason to pick store-bought Hallmark cards over Apple's iCards. Or at least that's what we think.
