Heads Up, Motorola Droid Bionic May Just Get Blindsided This Summer

Motorola Droid Bionic, the Android smartphone that made waves at CES earlier this year and possibly the most anticipated LTE phone on Verizon Wireless, may not be "all that" when it's finally unleashed this summer.

Motorola Droid Bionic may get blindsided this summer

The latest reports suggest that Verizon's biggest rival, AT&T, are already testing their first 4G smartphone and may be unleashed this summer as well. However what makes AT&T's offering all that interesting is that their "4G LTE network may be able to churn out blistering ‘real-world’ speeds of up to 28.87 Mbps for downloads and 10.4 Mbps for uploads", reports Product-Reviews. Now this is a big leap over the 4-12Mbps downstream Verizon is bragging. And if you know what the Motorola Droid Bionic is all about, its speed.

While we would still like to think that the Motorola Droid Bionic will be the hottest smartphone on the market when it hits this summer, it may just get blindsided by whatever AT&T is cooking up.

More on this as it develops.
