3 Nexus One Android Gingerbread Bugs So Far

The Nexus One was lucky enough to be the second handset in the world to officially receive the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update. However it hasn't been all candy and sunshine for many Nexus One owners as the number of complaints continue to stack up.

Nexus One Android Gingerbread update bugs

Earlier last week, issue were brought about regarding Google Voice not working after the Android 2.3 update. The problem was apparently resolved by uninstalling the last Google Voice update via the Android Market and then re-installing it.

Next there were complications with the awesome Gingerbread keyboard. Apparently, users were finding that the keyboard wouldn't load in some instances, instead leaving a blank black void in the place of the pop-up keyboard. The Google support forums suggested rebooting the Nexus One, which worked in our case as we have yet to see it happen again.

Now the latest bug doesn't seem as easy to fix. According to a significant number of Nexus One owners, the Android Gingerbread update is draining their batteries dry. On average, power consumption when idle is 2%. There are now reports coming in that the number has hit 40% for some.

No fix is available yet but if you are experiencing the issues you can follow the Google support thread at the source link below. Anyone else have other problems with the Nexus One after the Gingerbread update?
